Spring Artists Announced
Salem Community Supported Arts&Culture (CSA) is thrilled to announce the featured artists for the inaugural season of community supported art for Spring of 2019.

Katy Vigeland, Visual Artist

Jesse Farrah, Monochrome Film Photographer

Erin Westfall, Singer, Songwriter
In the following weeks, we will share more about the artists, their methods, their work, and what makes them tick. We even have a few surprises up our sleeve, so be sure to sign up for updates and secure your share now!
Interested art supporters and collectors can now purchase a share at salemCSA.com for $150 and in return receive a collection of locally produced artwork at a pickup event in June.
What is Community Supported Art? Just as Community Supported Agriculture has become a popular way for consumers to buy seasonal food directly from local farms, the same “buy local” spirit can support local art and artists. Each share will include one piece from each of the CSA featured artists and may also include “bumper crop” of additional artwork and arts opportunities. The pick-up event will be at a local venue and will give supporters the opportunity to connect with the artists. This local project is modeled on Community Supported Art in Minnesota, created by mnartists.org and Springboard for the Arts.
The goals of the Salem CSA program are to support artists and to create an engaged community of local arts supporters. Salem CSA supports artists in the creation of new work, to establish relationships with local collectors and patrons, and to participate in the launch of an exciting new model of art support and distribution. Share member benefits include multiple quality works of art from local artists at a fantastic value! Additionally, members have the opportunity to develop relationships with the local artists and art community, discover new artists, explore a variety of disciplines, and support artists’ careers and a vibrant community.
